[Perform-Talk] Finding a job as a piano teacher

I don't personally teach, but most of my friends who do seem to get a lot more satisfaction -and money- from private students than from teaching at a school / finding teaching jobs somewhere. If you are planning on staying in your area for a relatively long time it's probably worth investing a bit of time and resources to find students and start building your own small studio, especially if you are able to teach at home or have access to some other space. Teaching online is also a great option of course, but I think people are more likely to want to pay more for in-person lessons. Again I am not speaking from my own experiences and I think I'd probably be a very bad teacher, but this is what I've heard from people around me. Be patient and try to get private students one at a time, and people will slowly get to know you and come to you as long as you're good at what you do.
Best,
IC

I don’t know if there is may be another approach that I should use to find a job?
