Good Morning,

I am one of the rare full-time Music Braille Transcribers in America and have been in the industry nearly 10 years. On my website www.braillemusicandmore.com, I have a page which lists music books I have transcribed in braille and can sell to schools at a discount. I can sell them at an ever greater discount to individuals and families. There are instrument method books, piano compilations, theory books and more. Take a look!

You should have your OAS Director contact me at patrick at braillemusicandmore.com to see if I can assist you on your college journey. I have transcribed for many students on this list from high school through college and beyond.

I applaud you for pursuing your advanced studies!

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] Resources for Music Theory

Hello all,

I'm a music school freshman looking for the following materials for my theory classes. I passed out of the first level of theory, and am taking what my school calls Analysis and Composition II and Music Literacy and Musicianship II. I am looking for suggestions on an undergraduate music theory textbook already in Braille, maybe on BARD, that I could use for reference. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am also looking for Braille or disxml versions of the following scores/texts:

W. A. Mozart, Symphony No. 22
W. A. Mozart, Horn Quintet K. 407 (I found an .xml of the first movement)

Books
Georges É. Dandelot, Manuel pratique pour l'ètude des clés
Lars Edlund, Modus Vetus
Dannhäuser, Solfège des Solfèges II
