I really do enjoy it!  Actually, I did message with the project manager this evening: She is in the UK, so we couldn't quite get the timing on a conversation.  She has read for RNIB and has had the desire to make it more inclusive from the beginning.  What's going to happen is, once the finished product is ready, I will coordinate the audio description!  Last year was in the past, and even I didn't think of things I'm thinking this year😊.
Thank you for your encouragement!  I can't wait to share this thing.

Hi, Annie! This sounds like a really fun project! 

First of all, I think it's great that you are describing your photo, whether or not description is added for everything. That in and of itself provides awareness for other participants that it is needed. If the coordinator is overthinking it, would it help to send an email or text to all of the participants, encouraging them to do what you are doing? Given the time constraints, that may be the best option. 

Either way, it sounds like this is something you enjoy contributing to, so I definitely think you should go for it! 😊 Cheers!

Well, I will ask the coordinator.  (She wasn't going to do it this year, and then decided at the last minute to put this together so everyone has about a week to get pics and readings together.  Thankfully, even before I knew this, I proactively decided in July or August what I wanted to read).  That being said, once we have everything,we could write the description and get back with you.  To my way of thinking, there is no excuse for not having it and the creator is over-thinking it.
Whether it's you, myself, or someone else, all participants could chip in on a gift for "compensation."

Hello Annie,
I'm wondering if you could be both a part of the video and the solution? Could you do the voice over for the audio description? Or could you reach out to others to see if they would like to donate their time in order to spread holiday cheer? The people who have photos could write descriptions of them, perhaps? Or, maybe an actual describer would be willing to write a script, again, to spread awareness and holiday cheer? 
Personally, I'm not sure I would participate without description, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't! Also, I would be happy to lend my voice for free if that would be helpful. I'm building my resume right now, so it would be experience! But, will the person producing this video be able to add the descriptions in smoothly? I think that takes a lot of skill. So maybe there will be a need for engineering know how as well; it does get complicated!

It sounds like a fun little project to do and adding the description would be great because if no one else does, then it makes you stand out in more ways than one I say go for it girl you got this and by the way I liked Your portion of it.
