Subject: Fwd: Reminder: NFB Performing Arts Division Blind Artist Grant Q and A session tonight

Hello all,

This is just a reminder of our Q and A Zoom call this evening for our Blind Artist Grant.

The National Federation of the Blind’s Performing Arts Division invites you to an informational session on our Blind Artist grant, now open for applications. If you have been thinking of applying but would like some clarification on the application process, please join us on Sunday, October 5th at 8PM Eastern Time/5PM Pacific Time to have your questions answered.

About the grant:

The National Federation of the Blind Performing Arts Division (PAD) proudly offers annual grant(s) of up to $1,000 total to support blind artists and blind-led organizations in bringing innovative performing projects to life. Whether your passion is music, dance, theater, film, or another expressive art form, we're excited to help you make your artistic goal a reality.

The grant is intended to assist grantees with costs directly associated with the project, such as purchasing equipment, paying venue rental fees, hiring staff or performers, and similar necessary expenses. Project-related travel costs (such as lodging and meals) are permitted if they are essential to completing the project, and such expense should align with the National Federation of the Blind's travel and reimbursement policies. Please contact the Performing Arts Division for a copy of these policies. Funds cannot be used for unrelated incidental or personal expenses, such as general housing, utilities, or living costs. All expenditures must be directly connected to the execution of the funded project.
