Hello Eric,

Wow! You sure put work in to that article. Have you contacted someone
concerning including it on Braille.org? I just downloaded it and am amazed
at how long it took to save. Since my wife Mary is a Braille proofreader who
often has to proofread Spanish text in Braille she'll want to read this one.
We also had a member from Missouri contact us concerning foreign language
Braille and will pass this on to her. Great work!

Subject: [Pibe-division] Foreign Language Braille Resources for
MultilingualFamilies

Hi Everyone,

I recently formalized an article on foreign language braille. It is written
from a parent of a blind child perspective & is titled: "Enriching Your
Blind Child's Life via Foreign Language Braille: Practical Suggestions for
Families and Educators Seeking Out Foreign Language Braille and Other
Foreign Language Resources with a Special Focus on Spanish."

Please feel free to share this information with your bi-/multilingual
families.

It is a little long, but informationally dense.

I opted to publish this using the new web-based "Google Knol" format since
websites & links change so frequently & the neat thing about a Google Knol
is that it can easily be modified & updated.

I have been working on it this a little bit at a time for just over 4 years.

Thanks to those of you who have shared your thoughts with me over that time
either formally or informally.

The article can be viewed at
http://knol.google.com/k/eric-vasiliauskas-md-drv/enriching-your-blind-childs-life-via/2fo8us37li3cv/1#<http://knol.google.com/k/eric-vasiliauskas-md-drv/enriching-your-blind-childs-life-via/2fo8us37li3cv/1>

If you have any additional suggestions, please feel free to let me know & I
will try to incorporate suggestions as time permits.

Also feel free to link or share this resource with other educators or anyone
you feel may be interested in the information.

Respectfully,

DrV
