We do state standardized testing in October, March, and April, End of Course testing in May. So any other month would be fine for us! Maybe in Feb when there are already holidays from school that are not family oriented. You know how VI teachers hate to miss a day esp when there are so few of us to go around!

Denise, good points..however, the discussion DID start with them. Mark R. was the one that got my brain spinning on this.
I am just testing the grounds for feed back from others on what they would like to see
I see something in spring time or maybe people will want summer. I have contacted all the AER list also and there are many who would like to see something like this too

I appreciate the enthusiasm and I hesitate to put on a wet blanket but we may want to explore financial needs. In addition a date must be coordinated with the Institute and NFB calendar. Discussion with Mary Jo, Mark Riccobono and Dr Maurer would be in order. The PIBE board may want to discuss these logistics before opening up discussion to the whole. Just a few thoughts.

Hi all,
Denise's idea is a wonderful one! I think it would be highly beneficial to get more hands-on technology training. I was going to offer to host the group in my little subdivision in Boiling Springs, PA (ha, ha), but Mary Jo's idea of utilizing the Jernigan Institute and the IBTC seems a smidge better ;)
I'd love to help organize (but not lead) this terrific event!
Carlton
