I know of other school districts that have done this iin one form or
another.  They don't just use tablets but tablets are part of the education
process.  Many school districts are purchasing digital textbooks to use on
tablets.  This way the district can have the most current version of the
textbook.  The cost is about $15.00 per book rather than $75.00 per book.
The book is only good for one year but it is an option.  The districts are
still using computer labs and other teaching methods.
