Hello Denise,
I do not know if you remember me, but I am a close friend of Gail Wagner. I am blind and am a certified O&M and TVI instructor.
I am interested in the position, but have some questions about the area.
My husband and I would like to know your openion about the housing market in Seattle area near the school. I imagine there is good public transportation in the area of the school.
I come from a rehab background, but started teaching in the public schools in 2007. I have taught pre school through high school students. Presently I am working with Albuquerque Public schools as a resource teacher for blind and visually impaired high school students.
I would appreciate any information you can provide me about the area and the position.

Thank you for your assistance,
Vickie Buchignani, MA., TVI, COMS

>> Good morning!
>>
>> Seattle Public Schools has a full-time opening for a TVI for next year. We've recently been approved for a site-based program at the elementary level starting in the fall, & have plans to continue to grow into site-based models at the middle/high school levels in the coming years in addition to our itinerant services! Our team is very involved with each of the blindness-related organizations from around the state & we provide our families with multiple opportunities to come together throughout the school year.
