Hello Makayla,
Wile it is good to be doing research and gathering ideas, I believe that you 
shouldn't be limiting yourself by proximity to your family. At this stage in 
your life you are obviously thinking in those terms. However, by the time 
college application time rolls around in a few years you may have changed 
your mind in this regard. So, I advise doing your research and keeping your 
options open until then.
