>From what I am reading, you are out of luck. So are we in my district. We use the Jerry Johns reading inventory for our large print and Braille readers. We assign a reading level and utilize progress monitoring through the other forms (ie ABCD and Early Literacy). There is also extra reading per level for remediation. Our state approved this test as a substitute to DIBLES and STAR for blind and visually impaired students. Check your state for approval.

Hello all,
I've been struggling trying to figure out what to do for a district with a low vision student who needs the screen magnified for STAR testing.

They run windows on their computers but none of the magnification programs on the computer, nor the magnification that their own program has applies to the student questions. It's reportedly a 'flash' problem. Here is the link that the company sent me...I think my tech savviness pales in comparison to what is needed here. http://doc.renlearn.com/KMNet/R004443529GJ8255.pdf

Has anyone had a success or have some ideas for me? I was considering somehow using a Visio Book to allow them LP access for the testing.

Many thanks,
Amy
