Amy

I hope you don't mind me giving my option as a parent. My child uses her
IPad with a braille display as her primary piece of technology. She is a
braille only student but she doesn't have some remaining vision. My child
is in 4th grade and every student in school has IPads. The middle school
also just got 1 on 1 IPads They are uses as part of the primary techonolgy
education and part of all aspects of the school day. It nots if that was
the best choice or not its is the reality that she lives in. My daughter is
very good at using the iPad and she uses it every single day for writing.
Its a tool that is working for HER and her needs. If it wasn't for the
fact that all the other students have IPad i would have requested she have
a PC. An IPad isn't a magic solution it does some things pretty good but
does few things the best. Thats just my option. I think it is really
important to look at the tasks that need to be done.
