[Pibe-division] STAR testing alternative for Braille readers?

Jerry Johns is an alternative. It is available in hard copy braille and you
can have the student read until she/he has reached an appropriate reading
level. The thing I like about the computerized tests is the variety of
readings and questions over time. I would think the math portion could be
read aloud to the student since this is an acceptable testing method. Your
student could use an abacus or brailler to complete the math problems and
give the answer. Extended time is also an option on the STAR tests. I
believe they could find a way to make these tests accessible if they were
forced to do so.
