TEACHER OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED (TVI)
Lighthouse Central Florida is currently seeking a full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to teach visually impaired and blind children ages 6 – 13. This is a lead position supervising three part-time staff members providing comprehensive Expanded Core Curriculum based assessment, lesson planning, and developmental interventions to children who are blind or severely visually impaired and who may experience additional disability. Consulting with families to insure the carryover of learned skills into daily routines at home and in the community, leading to the optimal development of each child. Providing guidance to instruction assistant staff. Must have a TVI Certification, ACVREP Certified Orientation Mobility Specialist and three plus years’ experience working with young children with vision impairment. APPLY NOW
