Please Join Us for the Tactile Graphics in Education and Careers Symposium!

The National Federation of the Blind is committed to improving educational opportunities for all blind students. As part of this effort, we frequently conduct conferences and trainings on a range of education topics. We are excited to present the Tactile Graphics in Education and Careers Symposium to showcase the new cutting-edge developments in the growing field of tactile graphics as a tool to teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to blind students.

Teachers and parents of blind students, producers and users of tactile graphics, tactile researchers, and museum professionals are encouraged to register for this exciting opportunity to learn about innovations in the production of tactile graphics (both high tech and low tech), the use of tactile graphics in the classroom, how to teach tactile literacy, what constitutes good design, and more!

The Tactile Graphics in Education and Careers Symposium will take place October 11–12, 2018, at the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute in Baltimore. Registration is $50 and includes lunch both days. For more information, to view the agenda, and to register, go to the Tactile Graphics Symposium Webpage.<https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=12349&qid=2374942>
