This article reads quite differently than what the Press Release announcement of a vote in November seemed to indicate with the statement, <b><i>“The direction under consideration is the adoption of Unified English Braille while maintaining the Nemeth Code for technical materials.” </i></b>I understood that statement to mean that the Nemeth Code would still be kept for all of the higher math transcription – not that it would be embedded within a UEB transcription.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>If nothing else, take time to read the SUMMARY OF FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS, on the final page.
