I am a teacher for the visually impaired and blind. I have taught the blind for 6 years. I am certified for Louisiana, however. Please contact me if I can still teach in Texas. I have lived and attended college in Texas, as well, as declared Texas my home state when I finished my tour of duty in the military. I am certified for biology, English, general science, forensic science for the middle ad high school. 3. Assist in interpretation of data.<br>4. Develop educational programs for eligible visually impaired students.<br>5. Complete required local, state and federal forms for visually impaired students.<br>6. Assist in general education and/or special education classes when appropriate.<br>
7. Communicate regularly with general education, special education and parents/guardians regarding student progress/needs/concerns.<br>8. Assist other school personnel in effectively meeting the needs of visually impaired students.<br>
9. Report progress on IEP goals/objectives and grades as stipulated by district policy and ARD documents.<br>10. Prepare appropriate paperwork and attend ARD-IEP meetings for students with visual impairments.<br>11. Assist in maintaining audit folders of visually impaired students.<br>
12. Keep current in the field of visual impairments and be willing to attend appropriate workshops and trainings.<br>13. Maintain a record of district travel and complete appropriate forms and documentation within timeline.<br>
