I don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you that when I worked in Texas, the ECC was included in the VI Supplement Pages that were a required part of the IEP paperwork. I've also worked in several other states and have never seen that level of support for the ECC. That doesn't mean it wasn't being addressed...often the components of the ECC were being addressed, but it wasn't referred to as the ECC. In my current job I believe we do a great job in this area, but outside of the O&M portion, we rarely mention any of it in a student's IEP. for Blind & VI Children & Youth, then could you share as specifically
as possible - what is the legal basis that justifies the responsibly of the
school district or IEP Team to deliver all the components put forth in the ECC?</span></p>
