Subject: NFB list notice?
Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2014 14:30:54 -0500
Hi Dave,

Chris Kuell, president of the Danbury Chapter of the NFB of
CT here. In short, I met a newly blind woman 2 weeks ago, and we had
lunch yesterday. She's been a high school gym teacher for 27 years, and
now she's being railroaded out of her job because of her blindness. I've
reached out to several NFB members for legal advice, but I'd also like to
find a blind gym teacher, if there is one out there, for her to talk to.
And I thought you would be the guy to help me look, although I don't want
to break any NFB protocol. If it's okay to send the following to the
member lists, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thank you,
Subject: Looking for a blind Phys Ed
instructor

Hello,

This is Chris Kuell, a longtime NFB member. I recently met a
newly blind woman who has been a high school physical education teacher
for 27 years. After only a few months back on the job, her school
administrator has given her the ultimatum to retire on disability or be
terminated.

I'm looking for a blind gym teacher to talk with her about
how he/she does their job, any accommodations, words of wisdom, advice,
and so on. Please contact me at
ckuell@comcast.net
Thank you.
