<p>The biggest setback is the lack of storage and optical drive (CD/DVD/BlueRay). Anything a student NEEDS to download (pdf, mp3, .txt, .rtf, accessible audiobooks and more) can be with an iPad.
<strong>Pages</strong> will import .docx files from word. <strong>Dropbox</strong> will move and store,
<strong>VoiceOver</strong> creates accessibility. <strong>MBraille</strong> allows braille input for txt and social media. There is a
<strong>Kindle</strong> app for leisure reading and more accessible games than Androind at the present. The biggest question is "What is the educational task?" Also, keep in mind the forward/back translation of braille via refreshable braille display is not 100%
accurate. </p>

<div>Any input or advice here is welcome...I'd like to be able to accommodate but not if it's going to limit him. The district has purchased the laptop with hd screen and it's a good, high speed laptop, so it's not a matter of current poor tech.
