When I first attended a rehabilitation program the summer after graduating high school, poor notetaking skills was the one thing my Braille teacher said was my weakness. I have good Braille skills but tend to be a not-so-great notetaker. I am not good at decoding acronyms/abbrevations and am anxious about being able to understand my notes at a later date.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Like Marcie, I was never given tips on how to actually take notes. In college, I recorded classes and went back through the recordings to make notes later using a brailler.
