I perhaps should be writing to the web site instead of asking this question,
but thought I might be able to get some interesting responses.

I have a friend who is 27 years old. She has a little vision loss but is
not legally blind. She does drive, but only in certain areas. I think her
peripheral vision may not be as good.

She is really interested in working with blind people. And I feel it would
also enhance her own personal confidence.

Would she be able to attend this event, perhaps as a sighted guide for
someone? She is a very considerate person and would be very careful to help
them with any needs they might have, but would be sure to ask them first
what areas she should help them in, not wanting to interfere with a blind
person's ability to problem solve in whatever situations they want to.

Also, if she can't afford the cost, is there a payment plan?

Right now she is only employed part-time. And she is free to be away for
the summer.

Can someone please get me in touch with the right person?
Linda
