The Victor Reader Stream also uses a replaceable battery. The batterie
is not built in. It can be removed and replaced.

Ed:

The Book Port Plus and the Book Sense both use batteries that can be
replaced. They are, however, specifically designed for these units and
not the kind of batteries you can pick up at a local drugstore<smile>.

Cordially,

thank you, Curtis and Dave. A disadvantage of the Stream is the built-in
battery. My original BookPort uses 2 double-As, so if it runs down while
traveling I can easily swap in another pair. Does the BookPPort+ also
use stand ard batteries? Thanks, Ed Meskys
