There should be a ready-made virtual model of Vinux, an Ubuntu work that
you can just expand as a virtual box folder and open right up but for
some reason they're having trouble with their server. You can still get
some good info here;

Vinux auto-starts screen readers for GUI and CLI.
Some users on the support list can give you all the details you need to
install Linux in Virtual Box and if you search the archives there ought
to be some threads on it;

I can get my host screen reader to work with the VirtualBox GUI, but wonder what the preferred method for accessing the virtual display was?? I'm guessing running a second screen reader would work, but might be a bit annoying.
