[Quietcars] Looks like automated autos are coming, like it or not

Airplanes can be and mostly are flown by instruments, and there are few
accidents. When they are, they are horrific. Computers have been used in
planes for years to brake, and control other functions on planes.

Automobiles have upwards in some cars of fifty computers controlling
everything from braking to throttle position to tire monitoring to accident
avoidance, so, yes, it's coming.

If a GPS can get you within fifteen feet of your destination when mapping
out a route, fine business. My guide dog can find the door after
patterning, and they've done that when they haven't seen a building for a
year at a time; example, the tax dude. So, it's all relative, Dewey.

So very true.
I tryed one of those trekkers in Kansas City, one of the most easist cities
to map out, it told me I was walking South, when I was going North, it told
me I was at 11th street, when I was at 45th street.
So if they can't make the cars work better then that, then we are going to
have probblems.
The sad thing is the airlines are trying the GPS to guide the flights.

Umm...I don't trust GPS. The last time I and a friend used GPS, it sent us
three blocks away from our destination and told us we had arrived. No, thank
you, I'll walk.
