[Quietcars] Quiet vehicle warning sounds

Ken, how is this supposed to work, with the different types of styled wheels
available and very little of the autos today have hubcaps. Just curious.
It still doesn't allow for stationary vehicles.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree
with them.

Mark, I still am hopeful someone will try out a very low-tech solution such
as-  a small metal protusion mounted adjacent to the inner side of each
wheel rim that is struck by a flexible protrusion on those rims once each
wheel rotation. The slower the speed, the louder each clack, and the sound
gets more rapid and softer as the speed increases, similar to a steel ball
bouncing on a roulette wheel.

Hello fellow Federationists,

I am working on researching quiet cars and their affect on blind pedestrians
for a research paper for my Engineering Design course. I am looking for
technical information on the synthetic sound sources manufacturers have
developed for quiet vehicles. I was hoping you could direct me to some
technical specifications about synthetic sound sources for silent or nearly
silent vehicles.

Thanks for your help,
