[QuietCars] blind Canadians need your support

The Canadian Federation of the Blind is in the midst of a Human Rights
Tribunal case to get the city of Victoria to correct a bad design that
forces pedestrians to cross active bike lanes in the middle of the block in
order to board or leave a bus.  If this design were to become commonplace
throughout North America, pedestrian bicycle conflicts would increase and
injuries would be likely.

 

This could be a precedent setting case, so any financial support or
supporting comments will help us.  We want the city of Victoria to
understand that what they are doing is neither safe nor popular.
