- Salary: The salary range for this position is $30,552-$54,308 per year
($14.69-$26.11 per hour). Offered salary will be based on education and
experience.

- Agency Mission & Description: Our mission is to enable persons who are
blind to achieve vocational, economic and social equality by providing
career preparation, training in the skills of blindness and above all,

successful employment, or to living an independent and meaningful life.
- Purpose of Position: To help blind/visually impaired individuals
obtain or maintain employment by providing vocational rehabilitation
services such as adjustment counseling, career assessment,
education/training, and job placement.
- Educational requirements: A Master's Degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work,
Mental Health, Special Education and/or Vocational Counseling is
required for this position.
- Experience: One (1) year counseling experience in Sociology,
Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, Special
Education and/or Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling is required for
this position.
- Statutory Citation: State Board of Education Rules 6.63.11
- Supplemental Skills/Abilities: If selected, incumbent with only a
Bachelor's Degree in one of these fields will have four (4) years to
attain a Master's Degree at the Commission's expense.
- Bargaining Unit Position: This position is covered by a collective
bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply
and must be adhered to.
- Working Environment: Work is conducted in an office setting, extensive
personal computer and phone usage.  Regular travel may be required.
