I've recently been in contact with a family who has a very ambitious eight-year-old daughter who is visually impaired and interested in pursuing a career in fashion design. She has already done a lot of work on her own, researching training programs and careers in this field, taking sewing classes, etc. I think she could really benefit from connecting with adult mentors who are currently working in this field and who could possibly provide her with some job-shadowing opportunities. Does anyone know of any blind adults who work in the fashion industry? Any information or resources you could provide would be most helpful.
