EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in one of the above areas

Description of Vacancy's Duties :
Determines eligibility and provides vocational rehabilitation services
to persons who are blind or visually impaired who are seeking
employment.
- provide vocational counseling & assessment; collect & evaluate
medical, psychological, vocational & other reports to determine
eligibility
- develop plan with consumer, which includes services, providers,
responsibilities &terms
- monitor caseload budget
- work with employers on job development, analysis and follow-up
services
- develop referrals; perform basic public relation functions & partner
with service organizations, schools and physicians
- assure job placement
Selection Method :
Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements
are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.

Characteristics of the Class :
Determines eligibility for persons for vocational rehabilitation
services and provides vocational rehabilitation services to persons with
disabilities seeking gainful employment; and performs other duties as

Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel will
be required to coordinate services between customers and the agency.
Additional Requirements :
