Subject: OSERS Peer Reviewer System (PRS) - Resume Update

The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) is in the process of updating the Peer Reviewer System (PRS) that houses all resumes of potential peer reviewers. Routinely, it is necessary that we send an e-mail to those with resumes on file in the PRS database, to ask that the information on file be updated or verified as current. This insures that OSERS staff has the most accurate information to draw upon when developing a qualified pool of reviewers.

OSERS PRS database serves as a central data repository designed to provide specific information about peer reviewers, in a prioritized format, for use in the discretionary grant review process. The PRS is a valuable tool OSERS competition managers utilize to quickly and efficiently locate qualified non-Federal peer reviewers to serve on grant competition panels. Potential reviewers must have a current resume on file before participating in OSERS grant application reviews.

If you wish to be considered for future OSERS peer review opportunities, please submit your new or updated resume to OSERSPRS at ed.gov. OSERS will only consider resumes submitted directly to OSERSPRS at ed.gov for upcoming peer review assignments and all new resumes will replace any prior versions in the PRS. If possible, please include within your resume a short synopsis highlighting your areas of expertise and a list of any OSERS review panels served on previously. This brief synopsis should be placed near the top of the resume in the area routinely reserved for the "objective".

This is also an opportunity to remove your resume from consideration as a potential peer reviewer for OSERS. If you would like your resume removed from the PRS, please submit an e-mail request with the subject line of "REMOVAL" to OSERSPRS at ed.gov.
