The Ouachita Parish School System is accepting applications for the following position:

Teacher of Blind and Visually Impaired Students
The applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree or Higher, as well as a Teaching Certification with Special Education--Visually Impaired endorsement. The applicant must hold a National Certification in Literary Braille (NCLB) or possess the ability to obtain this credential within the first year. A working knowledge of Orientation and Mobility (O&M) or National Orientation and Mobility Certification (NOMC) or Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) is preferred, but not required. This is an itinerant position, so applicants must be able to travel between service locations throughout the day.
