Mechanic Tool List for Blind Clients
Dear Alice and Sylvia,
It has been some time since I have done any work with blind auto mechanics,
so I don’t have the up to date information you need. I am posting this to
the NFB’s Jobs and Rehab listservs along with a request that anyone who
knows the answers e-mail you directly. If you would like to subscribe to
the listservs for free, go to www.nfb.org and search for NFB listservs.
That way you can query both lists any time you want.
Dear Jobs and Rehab List Members,
Please respond to Alice and Sylvia directly using their e-mail addresses
below. Do not respond directly to the list, since they may not be on it
and will miss your posting.

NFB Employment Committee

*Subject:* Mechanic Tool List for Blind Clients
Dear Mr. Davis;
My name is Alice and I am an assistant here at the Department of
Rehabilitation, Blind Field Services Division in Oakland California. I left
a message for you on your voicemail. We have clients who are interested in
becoming auto mechanics. I am writing today to see if you could help us to
compile a list of accessible mechanic tools for our clients? We know about
Calipers with digital speech output, but are wondering what else is out
there?
