*Job Description:*

This position exists to manage staff training coordination and
Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) training grant administration,
Continuous Improvement needs assessment, coordination and facilitation;
provide outreach/communication services, vendor monitoring assistance,
website development and maintenance for State Services for the Blind?s
(SSB) programs and services. These include the Communication Center; the
Senior Services Unit; the Workforce Development Unit; and the Braille and
Talking Book Library.

JOB DUTIES:
1. Oversee the federal quality and basic training grants and lead the
planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing activities to train,
develop and maintain the job related knowledges and competencies of SSB
staff.

2. Assist in the comprehensive monitoring of SSB?s contract service
providers to ensure compliance with state and federal rules.

3. Act as SSB?s Continuous Improvement (CI) champion by promoting CI,
facilitating Kaizen events and assisting leadership in identifying
potential CI improvement processes.

4. Maintain media contacts and implement a media plan that will assist in
promoting services on a local basis and throughout the state.

5. Coordinate the development and dissemination of targeted marketing
materials that promote SSB services.

6. Develop targeted outreach activities in collaboration with SSB staff.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

Three (3) years professional experience in communications, marketing,
public relations, training, making presentations to diverse groups, web
site management and or related experience.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including speech writing,
report writing, development of promotional/outreach materials, presentation
development and editing.

Experience with various office software (e.g. In Design, Quark, Microsoft
Office Suite).

Monitoring project budgets

*Preferred Qualifications:*

Experience with continuous improvement programs - including planning,
coordinating and facilitation.

Experience with grants mangement.

Ability to analyze and improve processes and evaluate results.

Knowledge and experience with Sharepoint.

Ability to manage time effectively, organize work, set priorities, and meet
required deadlines; multiple projects may occur simultaneously.

Abiity to undertand, correctly apply and explain/interpret laws, rules and
regulations.
