The Florida Division of Blind Services is seeking an innovative leader to
head the Braille and Talking Books Library located in Daytona Beach,
Florida. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated professional
librarian (ALA/MLS required) with a Master’s Degree in Library Science (or
related field) and at least five years of supervisory experience, a strong
history of positive interpersonal communications, working knowledge of
integrated library automation systems, excellent oral and written
communication abilities, and a strong work ethic.  Experience working with
blind and visually impaired individuals is highly recommended.

The Florida Bureau of Braille and Talking Books Library is the regional
library responsible for National Library Services to the State of Florida
and works in close conjunction with ten sub-regional libraries across the
state.  The Library serves more than 31,647 Florida residents who cannot
use standard print reading materials, as the result of a visual, physical,
or reading disability. It is the largest library of its kind in the United
States and provides a statewide system for the circulation of general and
specialized reading materials in Braille, large print, and audio formats,
printed materials on the education and rehabilitation of individuals with
visual impairments and physical disabilities, and videotape and DVD
materials to customers.
