Job Duties:

This position will design, implement, and coordinate innovative and engaging placement and outreach efforts for blind, visually impaired, and DeafBlind transition students across Minnesota. In coordination with State Services for the Blind's (SSB) transition and placement teams, this position is responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, and evaluation of the transition program and related services to transform how SSB currently serves this customer base.

Job duties include:

1. Develop and implement an internal transition program that provides job readiness and work opportunities for transition students.

2. Provide statewide outreach and information to transition students and their families, as well as employers and external stakeholders.

3. Provide subject matter expertise, training, and guidance regarding the provision of employment services to transition students, especially in regards to state and federal employment and education laws.

4. Provide overall program evaluation of transition-related activities through the development, implementation, and evaluation of goals and objectives to ensure performance indicators identified in WIOA are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

3 years of professional experience related to working with transition-aged youth.

AND
A Bachelor's Degree in Human/Social Service related field (i.e. Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education

Preferred Qualifications:

Skill in effective presentation and group facilitation.
