Hello, my name is Cristina Hittle and I am a Vocational Specialist with Keystone Blind Association located in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.  You may have already been contacted by my colleague, Carli Metze, about an exciting new career opportunity for the Blind and Visually impaired at our locations in Boyers and Hermitage, Pennsylvania.   We have been awarded a federal contract through the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) to staff the mailroom and folder team with qualified individuals who are legally blind.  These are not "sheltered workshop" positions.  These positions are for qualified applicants in an integrated, permanent full-time work environment. Iron Mountain is a mine located in Boyer's, Pennsylvania. Applicants and must be willing to undergo a thorough and extensive federal background check which includes a credit and criminal background check, in addition to a drug screen.  Once applicants have been pre-screened, they will be required to undergo a more thorough background check to receive their clearances.  This is done by completing an SF86 application and by having an investigative background check done by a field investigator.    The mailroom and folder team positions begin at $12.39/hr with a $4.27 health and welfare benefit which essentially work out to an hourly rate of $16.66/hr.  In addition, we provide relocation, housing and service assistance.
