[rehab] Question for Rehab counselors that work with the blind

Hi All:

I am interested to find out about other States VR policy regarding purchasing glasses. Does VR fund glasses after using comparible benefits? In my opinion glasses are just like assistive tech to maximize useable vision.  If someone is low vision I don't see glasses as routine medical care. It makes sense to me that services for the blind would help with glasses. Am I wrong? 
I am interested to hear others thoughts on this.  Feel free to write to me off list at silvara at cox.net as not to clutter this list.
