E Commerce Customer Care Representative- Alexandria Va. Office

National Industries for the Blind (NIB), is a dynamic organization seeking
motivated and energized candidates dedicated to helping us achieve our
mission to create jobs for people who are blind. We are currently looking
to fill an entry level customer service vacancy, in our Alexandria, VA
Headquarters.   This full-time position Provides support to the customers
of the E-commerce Order Processing Program.



*Desired Skills:*

   - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
   - Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
   - Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations
   - Legally Blind
   - Proficient in use of adaptive technologies including JAWS with Open
   Book and/or Zoom Text magnifier
   - Intermediate to advanced proficiency required in MS Office suite
   including MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
   - Experience working with basic accounting concepts and familiarity with
   accounting software is helpful.
   - Experience/background with Oracle is highly desirable but not
   required.



*Duties include:*

·         Processes manual orders through the Oracle platform and
administers electronic orders when necessary.

·         Answers customer calls and provides resolution for order status,
order and product complaints, product return authorizations, and other
questions pertaining to the E-commerce Program.

·         Coordinates with NIB associated agencies, wholesalers, and Source
America CRPs on orders and shipment status.

·         Reviews, accepts, and processes manual orders received by email
or fax. Performs purchase order reconciliations as necessary.

·         Addresses customer complaints by researching, responding, and
following up with customers in a timely manner.

·         Provides invoices via email or fax to customers upon request.



*Education / Experience:*

·         High School degree required; associates degree preferred from an
accredited university or college. An equivalent combination of education
and experience is also acceptable.

   - Two years of customer service experience in an E-commerce call center
   or retail environment
   - two years data entry and/or order processing experience.
