You might want to listen to a podcast called Cooking in the dark. As it
might have some tips on there. The link is at
http://www.airsla.org/cookinginthedark.asp
and you might want to subscribe to the following mailing list. The link is
at

I hope that the above information helps.

Hello,

As a blind person, teaching blind and low vision people cooking skills, I
would recommend that you find another blind person who regularly cooks to
help you with this. I can give you a few suggestions but having someone who
is blind assist will help your consumer understand just how much is possible
when you are blind in the kitchen and otherwise. If you would like to chat a
bit, please feel free to call me at 907-771-4306. That is my work number and
I am in Alaska which it 3 hours earlier. I could talk with you around 10:00
Monday morning, my time, 1:00 your time.
Hope that helps. Also, I am sure that you could get in touch with the local
NFB chapter in your area and find someone who would be happy to assist you
with this. This would be beneficial for both you and your consumer.

Warmly,

Bonnie

Hi,
I am writing for some suggestions from some of the experts in the field.
I work with someone who is visually impaired and trying to come up with
ideas on how to show them to make foods in the skellets? Are there other
safe options for skellets for totally blind? Are there any techniques for
someone who is newly blinded to learn skillet cooking safely? The person
loves livers and I am just not sure what is the best way to teach them?
Thanks.
Hina.
