Dear List members and friends,



I am sorry to have to report that Kevin Daniel, who was in charge of
recruiting for the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind died abruptly on
September 12.  He was meeting his wife after work, and was on his way to
the car when he collapsed and died.  He did not have any known medical
condition, so it was a surprise to everyone.



I have known Kevin for years.  He was a vigorous, outgoing guy who was
always very happy to talk to me and regarded me as a mentor.  He did an
excellent job with outreach for the Lighthouse and was particularly
thrilled with his new opportunity to travel around the country finding new
employees.  He came to the NFB Convention and Career Fair and planned to
attend state conventions including ours in Minnesota this fall.



I am sorry to say I did not know Kevin well personally, only
professionally, but as a recruiter, he was one of the best.  I am sorry he
has passed on and I hope those of you who knew him well will do your best
to offer comfort to his family.
