[Rehab] FW: Blind Actor

Dear List Members and Carlton Walker,

Morgan Robbins contacted us about needing a blind teenage actor who
identifies as male. Filming is in British Columbia, but U.S. citizens can
be admitted for that purpose.  I am also sending this to Paul Gabias so he
can pass it on to our friends in the Canadian NFB.  Hope you all can help
Morgan find someone good.

Hi Dick!



Thank you so much for getting back to me! I have also been in contact with
Katelyn MacIntyre over at the National Federation of the Blind Performing
Arts Division & she said she would be sharing it with their performing arts
membership. Just want to make sure you don’t forward it along to the same
people if she’s already handling. But I would love for you to pass this
along to anyone & everyone! We want to cast authentically & so want the
widest net out there as possible ☺



And great question re Canada! Yes, we are able to have U.S. citizens
participate in the filming. As long as we prove that we have searched for
the talent up there as well & prove that the best actor comes from here
they allow it. We have an amazing local CD up there doing a search so all
good there.

like you are doing a pretty broad search for the right person, so I wanted
to expand your reach.  I can help you reach out to the 50,000 members of
the National Federation of the Blind, which has as one of its interests the
inclusion of blind people in films and TV.  My contact information is as
