Hello everyone,

If your organization is seeking an eager, diligent and experienced
assistive technology or braille instructor who believes in the limitless
potential of blind people, I’d love to hear from you. I am anxious to move
back to the States – and would love to begin the next chapter in my
rewarding career while helping your clients lead lives of success and
independence.

Briefly, I am an enthusiastic, knowledgeable rehab teacher, seeking a job
at any U.S. agency or training center with high expectations for its
visually impaired clients. I was introduced to structured discovery
teaching methods at the Louisiana Center for the Blind, and earned
certifications in Rehabilitation Teaching for the Blind and Unified English
Braille from the National Blindness Professional Certification Board. I
have 15+ years of professional experience in the blindness arena, first in
designing and selling adapted products to low vision consumers, and more
recently in teaching blind adults and seniors to use assistive technology.

While I was trained in the United States and hold a valid M-1 vocational
student visa, I am a Canadian citizen and thus don't presently have U.S.
work authorization. Therefore, I am seeking a state agency or training
center willing to assist me with securing a work visa, such as an H-1B Visa
for Specialty Workers. For the extra trouble, you’ll land a loyal,
passionate employee who is eager to work hard and make a difference well
into the future. Since H-1B visas are valid for six years and restrict
international workers to a single employer, I would gladly stay put
long-term. Since I would be relocating to the United States for a new job,
I am willing to live and work anywhere in the country, including rural or
under-served communities. To assist with the immigration process, I do
have documentation attesting to the acute shortage of qualified rehab
professionals in our field.

Should you wish to learn more about me or my skills and abilities, feel
free to check out my LinkedIn profile here:

forward this message to any organizations who may be interested in
considering me for an open position. I'll also be happy to submit a
customized job application, if desired.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you and answering
further questions!

Sincerely Yours,

Craig Faris
