[Rehab] Name Your Resume!

Hi Everyone,

As most of you may know, our NFB Virtual Career Fair will happen on October
26 between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Before you
register, take a look at your resume. Is your own name the file name?  Or
is it named "Resume 3" or some such?

With 200 plus job seekers registering, how will the employers find your
resume if the file name is not your name? We batch process them into a Zip
file which we send to employers. Although your resume will be linked to
your unique identification number on the job seeker spreadsheet that
employers get, they will find it easier to locate and manage if the file
name is your name.

For those of you who may have made this mistake already, no, we cannot swap
out your resume. However, you can send it directly to the employers when
you get the list of them a day or two after registration closes on October
16.

Remember that successful competition involves out-thinking everyone else
and anticipating the needs of employers. Sighted people make the same kinds
of mistakes, so this is not a blind thing.
