Please see information below about BISM’s Internship Program and share within your networks! If you have students or graduates who may be a good fit, please share this information with them. This is a full-time, in-person paid internship in Baltimore, Maryland, with housing provided. The deadline for summer applications is March 27th, 2026.
BISM’s Internship Program
The BISM Internship Program offers an opportunity to promote real-world experience and mentoring in a supportive environment. In-person internships are available for fall, spring, and summer for approximately 3 to 4 months.
Interns have an opportunity to explore a variety of fields, some of which might include: management, teaching, information technology, human resources, and communications, among others. This opportunity is available for prospective and current college students, recent graduates, and adults undergoing career exploration. BISM works with interns to offer a customizable work experience centered around an intern's areas of interest. This is a paid internship opportunity with housing provided.
We are looking for applicants who:
* Are comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel, or willing to learn
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Take initiative appropriately and apply problem-solving skills
* Are prompt and professional
* Are able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Feel comfortable working both independently and as a team member
* Are passionate about changing what it means to be blind
* Exhibit a positive attitude
* Are self-driven, eager to learn, and want to be challenged
