currently accepting applications for the 2011 Vision Specialist in Vocational
Rehabilitation Program at Mississippi State University. This program is
primarily designed for Rehabilitation Counselors and Rehabilitation Counseling
graduate students wanting to specialize in blindness and low vision. We
have also had a number of teachers and related professionals go through the

describing the Vision Specialist program. Details about the program are

We hope you will share it with your staff. It is intensive, and it is
demanding, but it also has received positive reviews from graduates and state
VR directors. Students take 2 graduate courses in the Spring semester and 2 in
the summer session. We have had students from 32 states go through the
program to date. Stipends are available which will cover the full expense
of the program, which depending on travel costs is usually between $7,000 and
$8,000. The program does require 3 weeks of residency here at
MSU, usually in April, but the majority of the program is on-line. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
