Riverside San Bernardino chapter minutes for September 12, 2020



Meeting came to order at 10 AM

Recited the one minute message the national Federation of the blind knows that blindness is not the characteristics that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations of blind people because Lorax dictations create obstacles between bline people in their dreams. You can live the life you want. Blindness is not what holds you back.



Those in attendance: Carmen, Kelly, Amanda, Barbara, Angela Francina, Paulina, Tippy, Sylvia.

Secretaries report: Barbara read the minutes from previous meeting on September 12, 2020 Angela moved the minutes from the previous meeting. Kelly second it all approved.

Treasurers report: balance as of October 10, 2020 is $804.91.

All business: virtual convention is to be held on October 22 through the 25th, 2020 all members can register. A $25 donation will be excepted after October 8, 2020. The deadline to register is October 15, 2020. Door prize: three $10 gift card from Amazon will be sent to Tiffany Minaj. And email will be sent to Carmen, letting us know where to send the gift cards for a door prize.

Elections: dues must be paid to run for office. There are several ways you can pay your dues. Cash app, Apple Pay, check, and money order. All office positions are now opener for voting. Presidential release: on the first of each month our president Mark Riccobono will be live, Sharing important information about the national Federation of the blind he invite anyone to join. You can go to Danielson at nfb.org.

White Cane Report: Paulina spoke to one person about the white cane program and is still waiting for a reply.

Book club: our monthly book club will be held on October 9, 2020. But topic is Harriet Tubman by Judith Bentley, copyright 1990, DB3746. The time is at 6 Pm,

Kelly made a motion to adjourn The meeting. Carmen second it. Meeting adjourned at 12:04 PM.
