[Rose_City_Chapter] November chapter meeting minutes

I am pasting the minutes from our November chapter meeting. Please take a
look at them and let me know if there any corrections or changes or if the
minutes look good to you.

 

NFB of Oregon Rose City Chapter

Minutes November 15, 2025

 

                Kirk Wagner called the chapter meeting to order at 10:30 AM
with The following members attending the chapter meeting were: Kirk Wagner,
Tracy and Desmond Boyd, Jerry Hathaway, Joy Relton, Mary Ann and Jack
Mendez, Jan Hatcher, Rod Barker, Marcie Knudson, Carolyn Brock, Jeff
Anderson, Mayra and Urijah Gonzalez, Osmond, Ryan McBee, and Cody Hermeling.
Guests that came to our chapter meeting were: Abby Grifith, Karen Croston,
David Cardinalli, and Dea Dea. Joy Relton read the NFB Pledge and the NFB
Belief Statement. Members gave an introduction and the ice breaker topic,
Please share with us your most memorable moment in an NFB meeting. Joy
Relton made a motion to approve the minutes from our October chapter meeting
that was distributed on the chapter list serve and the motion was seconded
by Carolyn Brock and the motion was passed by the members attending the
meeting. Joy Relton gave the Treasurer's report with a beginning balance of
$3,245.20 and the ending balance is $3,295.20. Jerry Hathaway made a motion
to approve the Treasurer's report as read with Tracy Boyd seconding the
motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the chapter
meeting. Joy Relton informed members that the total that was made from the
trivia night fund raiser was $433.00. Kirk Wagner asked Tracy Boyd to run
the elections of the Rose City chapter. Tracy Boyd opened elections for the
office of President of the Rose City chapter and the name of Rod Barker was
nominated for chapter president and Rod Barker was elected president of the
Rose City chapter by acclimation by the members attending the chapter
meeting. Kirk Wagner then took over with the elections of the remaining
officers. Kirk open the nominations for Vice President and the name of Tracy
Boyd was nominated for Vice President and she was elected Vice President by
acclimation by the members attending the chapter meeting. Kirk then open
nominations for the office of Secretary and the name of Jerry Hathaway was
placed in nomination as Secretary and he was elected Secretary by
acclimation by the members attending the chapter meeting. Kirk then open
nominations for the office of Treasurer and the name of Joy Relton was
placed for the office of Treasurer and she was elected Treasurer by
acclimation by the members attending the chapter meeting. There was
discussion and a motion whether to have a chapter meeting or a Christmas
social at Tracy's house. The motion to have a chapter meeting in December
did not pass by the members attending the meeting. There will be a social
get together at Tracy's house on December 14th at 1:00 PM. Kirk then told
members his thankfulness of being chapter president and of the membership
friends he has made in the chapter over the many years he has been in the
Rose City chapter. Tracy Boyd gave her thanks to Kirk for his term as
chapter president. Rod Barker then spoke of some of his plans for the next
year as he begans his term as chapter president. Carolyn Brock won the 50-50
drawing and she donated it back to the chapter. Kirk then adjourn the
chapter meeting.
