Call to order: 10:30 am
Introductions / Ice breaker – Who’s new? What NFB conferences or activities have you attended (state or national)?
NFB Pledge and Belief Statement
NFB Pledge & NFB Belief Statement - read by Cody
Minutes of the last chapter meeting were accepted as submitted electronically.
Treasurer’s report - was tabled to allow Joy more time to access the bank and deal with mild discrepancies.
Current NFB Presidential Release – We encourage everyone to listen to President Riccobono’s Podcast. Open discussion to follow.

Committee Reports- using the following criteria:

Committees Share:
NEW Location search committee- ongoing conversations of locations, via text thread.
-purpose: looking for locations for activities and potential new meeting spaces.
-members: Jeff, Mayra, Tracy -Reach out to Tracy if you'd like to be a part of this committee.
Fundraising and Activities committee - Met on March 14, 2026 at Maya’s at 1000 SW Morrison in Portland. The purpose- explore and lead possible fund raising and other activitiesfor the Rose-City Chapter.
-members are: Rick Hammond chair, Julia Kulak and Joy Relton.
-suggested activities included: working with Lindsey Dorm a project concerning audio described movie, attending audio described performances as a group, karaoke, open mic night fund raising, chocolate sales fund raiser, trip to the zoo, trips to museums, hikes or walks, white water rafting and more.
-next meeting 10:00 Saturday April 4 at CapitalOne cafe at 625 SW Broadway in Portland.
Conventions committee/ state activities -formed during meeting.
-members: Abby, Marcie, and Tracy
-recommended to check in with Alice as point person for convention of 2026.
-contact Tracy via text if you’d like to join committee.
Possible new committee to create
-outreach committee.
Cottage Grove Trip- highlights and suggestions set clear expectations for who is paying and what is getting paid to prevent future discrepancies.
-chapter intentions were to pay for meal packages for all Chapter members attending cottage Grove member seminar. Meal packages, not a sponsorship rather a spin down of Chapter treasury.
National convention
- July 3 through July 8, 2026, Austin, Texas
50/50 drawing
- Carolyn won and had already left, but she had left a message with Joy to donate her winnings.
-Secretary nominations/ vote.
-Must attend meetings.
Next Chapter meeting April 18, 2026.
