I also never, ever heat left overs that I've brought home from restaurants
in those plastic containers. I'd rather wash a dish or bowl than rebuild my
kitchen.

I had an experience a long time ago with one of those rotissary chickens
that you can get at the store.  A lot of them are now in plastic containers,
but they used to be in paper bags.  Well, I didn't know that there was foil
inside the paper bag, because it was between the paper.  So, when I put it
in the microwave to warm it up, it started a fire.  A sighted person
happened to be there and saw the flash and we shut it off quick.  The
Whirlpool directions said to leave the door shut for a while and unplug the
microwave so the fire would be smothered.  So, that's what we did.  Pam.

Anything metal is not safe in a microwave. Also some plastic bags are not
safe because they can melt. Also, if you put an egg in the shell in your
microwave it will blow out the fuse. You can microwave eggs, but you have to
crack them first. They have a special thing that you can put your egg into
boil it in the microwave.
