No, it just connects and off we go. That would really be frustrating to have
to go through the whole process of connecting the device for the first time
every time you want to use the instant pot. You might want to call customer
support, I don't remember where I found their phone number, but I'm sure
it's on their website. Maybe you could throw in your two cents about making
the app more accessible, too. I'm hoping they get plenty of calls about
that. I know when I called they said they had been hearing about the
problems with the app. Have you figured out how to operate the pot through
the app?

When I plug my instant pot back in, I press the first button in the second
column, it's the leftmost shorter row, and hold it in for a couple seconds
and it will usually connect to wifi and I'm off and running again. Sometimes
I have to do it a second time, but after that everything connects up just
fine.

I had to repair my device this weekend. I did hook it up to the Alexa skill
and it did work. The thing is that when I unplug it and reapply get then I
have to redo the whole thing over again.
